The Honorable Judge Joseph E. Caldwell is a former District Attorney and retired District Judge in Taos, international legal consultant, composer and musician (guitar and charango).
Nic has served as executive director since 2015. He is a guitarist and has experience in talent booking, non-profits, startups, business management, and web development. For fun Nic likes to play guitar, ski, ride his motorcycle, travel, and enjoy the outdoors.
Dolores has been caring for Helene's home since 1981. Her dedication and kindness is cause for deep gratitude and commendation.
Mitch has been with HWF since 2015, and applies his expertise in several fields to make sure the casitas stay in top shape. He also serves as inspiration for artists in residence, having had portraits, poems, songs, and literary characters made after him.
Zili has been our office guru since 2016. She keeps our books on track, and makes sure the office plants stay happy.
Marcos has been making the campus property look good since 2017.
Tonie, well, Michael’s wife and Nic’s mom, she just shows up when events are planned, and organizes them to perfection!
Celebrated gallery owner and contributor to Taos' art community, Rena Rosequist served on the Board of Directors for the Helene Wurlitzer Foundation for 20 years. in 1962, she established the 'Mission Gallery' with her husband Ivan Rosequist, which was New Mexico's oldest gallery under continuous ownership when it closed in the fall of 2017. Rena supported both young and well-established artists, and regularly exhibited works by Taos Modernists such as Emil Bisttram, Andrew Dasburg, and Earl Stroh - artists whom Helene Wurlitzer supported in her earlier years in Taos.
